Well, folks, it’s been a long time comin’.  I’m officially into my new studio and am LOVING IT!  First off a huge thanks to all of you guys because without all of your follows, likes, comments, shares, etc. then companies wouldn’t work with me.

It is because of YOU that I am able to make a living and I promise I will never forget that.  Also a huge thanks to my builders Tom, Paul, Carl, Renee, Mr. Wright, Chris and Dukie for making this place look so dope.  I, of course, did what I could to help build this thing out but man I’m not sure fabrication, rehab, and construction are for me.  I’m more a vision guy haha.  Also a gigantic thank you to my wife for decorating and always putting up with me.  Lastly, thanks to mom and dad in law for this place because without you this was not possible.  Thanks to my mom and dad for the support and for coming up last minute to get the studio up and running!  Ok, now onto the fun stuff!

So I got the keys to this place back in early August and from there it was all gung-ho until it was finished.  It was essentially this 1650 square foot box that needed to be built out. I needed an office, a kitchen, shelving, a lounging area, a huge table to eat at, and oh yeah a bathroom door :-).

I wanted this place to kind of have an industrial farmhouse look and I think I was able to capture that through the tall exposed ceilings, cement floor and then with the dark reclaimed woods and furniture.

I wanted to build this place out so that people could rent it to throw small parties like a small wedding shower, baby shower, graduation, pop up dinner, cooking demo’s, I mean honestly whatever people want.  With that being said I wanted it to feel really homey and super comfortable and I think that’s what I ended up with.

On one side of the studio is a super chill lounge area with a TV and tons of super loud crystal clear blue tooth speakers, and then on the other side is a beautiful kitchen decked out with navy blue cabinets, white quartz, subway tiles, Kitchenaid Appliances, and a gorgeous Franke chef center sink, faucet, pot filler, and garbage disposal.

The light, oh man the light!  The soft lighting due to the super huge windows that are covered in a very thing sheer curtain gives off the most beautiful soft light ever making this place absolutely ideal for shooting pictures and videos.  Sure I’ve got tons of lights but there is no need at all.  Food always looks best under soft daylight, period.

One thing I for sure wanted to add in was a super huge farmhouse style table so that I could do some experiential type stuff as well as rent this place out to any chefs that want to do some pop-up dinners and feed some folks.  The table is seriously so sick!

In addition to me shooting food in this place for clients I work with, or for my blog, I hope this place gets used a ton by fellow food bloggers, agencies, pr firms, and just any old folks that want to use it.

Well, that’s all I got thanks so much for stopping in and I hope you dig all the pics.  You can learn more about the studio at BPMVC.com.

Billy I love your style and approach to anything related to food and cooking. Do you have a cookbook out that’s available to the general public?
