Organizing Plastic Food Storage Containers everyday of my life literally gives me anxiety just thinking about it. Every single person I know has that gosh awful cabinet that is over flowing with a mish-mosh of different sized plastic containers and lids. Last week was my final draw and decided it was time to do something about it. I set out to find some easily stackable plastic food storage containers that came in bulk and the hook was that they all would have the same lid so everything could be interchangeable no matter what. I believe I have found the perfect containers to accomplish my goal of Organizing Plastic Food Storage Containers in my house. I wanted some big containers, some medium sized ones, and some small ones. All had to be BPA free, microwaveable, freezable, and could be washed in the dishwasher. Tall ask right? Wrong! In the restaurant industry I had used these so why wouldn’t it work at my house? IT WOULD!! I get 50 containers for pretty much the same cost that I would get 20 or so. So here are my before and after shots as well as some links were you can buy these too! DO IT, YOU WON’T REGRET IT!
BEFORE
AFTER
Wonderful! I have recently purchased these as cook and share with family quite often. Since it is just my husband and I at home now, unless I share food we eat the same leftovers way too many times.
What I am going to do now is really clean out my cupboard and just use these. Why I never thought of giving my self permission to do so before is a mystery. This will make my kitchen so much better to work in! Thank you for your very practical and helpful recommendations!
I don’t see the links to the containers he is talking about. Do you have a link?
Amazing! Thanks for this tip. Would you say they’re long-lasting as well?
They’re pretty solid. Only thing is when you freeze them they tend to get fragile and can crack easy.
I used disposables food container for the last 3 years.
Thanks Billy for giving this idea. I am also going to use the Disposable plastic food containers in my kitchen.
Ok, sounds like I picked up on your organization vibe and cleaned up our pantry last week,
but since I do like to collect sour cream, yogurt containers (Armenian tupperware), keeping things
organized is a bit of a challenge.
I’ll work on it!
This leaves me wanting a virtual tour of your kitchen with organization tips! I’m so starting off my year with this idea. Thanks Billy!
