Try this delicious way to start off your day every morning packed with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas an almond milk smoothie and topped off with oats!
I always thought I used to be ridiculously busy until I had a kid, which is why I need breakfast to go fast hence this smoothie. There is zero comparisons from my old lifestyle to the way it is now; it’s just flat out nuts. I clearly have the responsibility to make sure food is on the table, as I should I’m a chef. So with that being said some days, I have more time to prepare things than others, but 1 meal that is in demand and is in demand immediately is breakfast.
Whether it’s just me, my wife or my daughter we wake up starving beasts. Sure there are easy fixes like cereal or even oatmeal, but man I want some fresh fruit in the mornings to go along with my coffee.
What Goes in a Strawberry, Blueberry, Banana Smoothie
In addition to it being sometimes maddening in the morning often times I am out the door pretty early and don’t have time to even sit down and enjoy anything so smoothies are on the menu at least 3 days a week, no joke.
Whatever fresh fruit we have in stock, some ice cubes, maybe some honey, and of course almond milk. Talk about a killer way to feel really good in the morning time with all that deliciousness. I personally try not drink too much regular milk as it tends to give me indigestion and often times gives me a stomach ache, so almond milk is always the way to go for strawberry, blueberry, banana smoothies. Oh yeah, not-too-mention they are flavored! Huge Score!
How to Make It
There are a few ways to make a really good strawberry, blueberry, banana smoothie, but the beautiful thing is they are easy no matter what. You can either freeze your fresh fruit, or by frozen fruit, or use ice cubes to help give that smoothie appeal, but it is literally as simple as adding your fruit, almond milk, and whatever other goodies you want to add in and blend on high for 1 minute.
I added a little bit of honey and rolled oats to this strawberry, blueberry, banana smoothie, but sometimes I top off with granola. It’s perfect every time with minimal cleanup and excellent for those on the go mornings. I can’t say it enough, IT’S EASY TO MAKE!!
Best Fruit to Use
For the best-tasting fruit smoothie you have to use what’s in season. That means don’t buy berries in the winter, see what else is available. I mean come on we are talking vanilla almond milk and fruit, how could anything go wrong?! Regardless, if you have crazy mornings as we do, give some time back to yourself and make this insanely delicious strawberry, blueberry, banana Oat Smoothie!
